Originally an old Qasida, Kailash Kher brings this piece to life in a way that only he could. The doha is about a bride who has been separated from her groom, and throughout the song she calls to her lover, but not even the sun or the moon or the water of the river can get her message to him. The song is to be understood on two levels: the physical level - that of a separated bride and groom, and the spiritual level - the bride symbolizing humanity, and the groom symbolizing God.
