"My Love Is for Real" is the first single from the 1995 Paula Abdul album, Head over Heels. The song was reconstructed by dance group Strike in 1996. The song was written by Paula Abdul and Rhett Lawrence. The Song "*Didn't I Say I Love You*", the B side of the single release, was written by Elliot Wolff and Stacy Piersa and does not appear on the Head over Heels album. The song is a middle-eastern sounding groove, with background vocals from the popular Israeli singer Ofra Haza. This was Abdul's first music release in three years.
