My Happy Ending is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne, released throughout June 2004 as the second single from her second studio album Under My Skin. The song was written by Lavigne herself with Butch Walker, who also produced the track. Originally, Lavigne wanted the song to be released as the first single from the album but the label chose to publish Don't Tell Me first instead. It became Lavigne's third most successful single and it peaked higher than Don't Tell Me.
