It was first released as a track on his first album Something New issued in 1965 by Transatlantic Records. He was to make only one other album the following year, again for Transatlantic Records. It was of traditional folk and showed his width of abilities and interests compared with the first album which showed the newer side of the folk revival as it consisted of modern compositions by the likes of Cyril Tawney and Archie Fisher.
