Written by Mark Oliver Everett (a.k.a. Mr. E) My Beloved Monster is a track recorded on the first studio album of the band eels. Though it was never released as a single it did gain popularity on the soundtrack to DreamWork’s Shrek. It is the fourth track on the Beautiful Freak album (1996) and runs to two minutes and eleven seconds.
