During her livestream on May 2020, she explained the song before playing it: "A lot of these songs [on Lost Girls] have been inspired by the desert and going out to Death Valley and painting mountains. This is sort of a love song, just likening somebody to just being like a mountain, something you can't penetrate, someone you can't get through to."
