On “Modern Loneliness,” American singer-songwriter Lauv sings about the ‘modern way’ of being lonely despite people being constantly surrounded by friends. This is the tenth and final pre-released single from Lauv’s debut album "~how i’m feeling~" which dropped in early March 2020. It was preceded by the upbeat “Tattoos Together” with a similar release rollout. “Modern Loneliness”’s release date was shared with fans on social media back in February 18, 2020, alongside a little note:
