Masamune is the closing track on Periphery II: This Time It's Personal; it is also the end of the "trilogy" on the album. The track was originally demoed by Misha Mansoor while vacationing in Mauritius. Mansoor was in a good mood and, wondering why all his heavy riffs had to be so dark, decided to write something happier. Masamune is a "Jekyll/Hyde" composition, crafted to end on a dark note to contrast the upbeat first half. Mansoor originally arranged
