"Mary's in India" is a song recorded by English singer Dido for her second studio album, Life for Rent. It was written and produced by her and Rollo Armstrong. At the Brixton Academy concert, Dido introduced the song saying that it was initially inspired by an autobiographical event, but then “it took on a life of its own”. "My best friend’s called Mary – she’s actually here – and this song started as a little song cause I missed her so much when she went to India, and I’m afraid it took on a life of its own.
