"Mama Told Me Not to Come" (aka "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)") is a song by American singer-songwriter Randy Newman written for Eric Burdon in 1966 (and attributed to Eric Burdon & The Animals in 1967) and subsequently covered by a number of other artists (Newman's own version was released on his 1970 album "12 Songs").
