This track features vocals by Annie Clark AKA St. Vincent. The Lusitania was an ocean liner that was controverialalky torpedoed by the Germans in 1915 during the First World War, resulting in heavy loss of life. In addition to referencing the Lusitania, the song briefly mentions the USS Maine, which was a battleship sunk in Havana harbor in 1898. The sinking of the Lusitania encouraged American involvement in WW1, and the sinking of the Maine was one of the factors in US choosing to support the Cuban revolution.
