On August 11, 2018, Trippie Redd posted a picture of himself on instagram, teasing with the caption “LOVE SCARS 3/DONT LEAVE👺“. The following day, he posted a snippet of the track. The song is a sequel to “Love Scars/You hurt me” and “Love Scars Pt. 2/Rack City.” The song also shares part of the name of his 2017 “Bust Down/Love Scars 3.” The song was slated to be a part of the deluxe edition of Life’s A Trip, Trippie Redd’s debut project, but instead appeared on his 2018 album A Love Letter To You 3.
