"Love Ridden" tells the story of a person who has been deeply in love with someone, but now realizes that it's time to let go. The first verse describes the intensity of the speaker's feelings, how they have focused all their energy on this person and even made wishes for them. However, in the second verse, the speaker acknowledges the truth about the relationship: the other person is not trustworthy and only brings them sadness. They want to be close to them, but they know that it will only end up hurting them more.
