Lost Horizons is a song by Gin Blossoms. It was written by guitarist Doug Hopkins and released on the Gin Blossoms' 1989 debut album Dusted. It is also the opening track on their 1992 major-label debut New Miserable Experience. The song was released as a single in 1992. A forthcoming drama film on the story of Doug Hopkins uses Lost Horizons as it's namesake. The synoposis for the film reads: "Based on the Detroit Free Press' Top 40 Articles of the Last 40 Years
