This song is a great representation of depression and the effects it can have on a person. All the shit he had seen had him feeling like giving up and he was battling his own mind trying to stay sane. He mentions lack of sleep, regret, remorse, and things that he used to love that aren’t fun for him anymore. All symptoms of depression. And even though he knew it was wrong and just a temporary fix to his problems, he resorted to weed and alcohol to get him through.
