This song is reflective of a love that she doesn't want to let go, but it's apparent that he doesn't want to give himself to her wholeheartedly - "I say I love you. You say that's kind... you don't wanna get too close" Yet he loved her silently, rather he showed her through his actions and because he loved her crazy and she lost her mind. Though she has transcended mentally, she is still vulnerable to heartbreak.
