Many rock songs fall with a resounding thud when stripped of instruments. That's not the case here. This is an a cappella version of the Kink's 1970's gender bender classic. Some impressive vocal gymnastics embroider the song with complex harmonies while keeping the focus firmly on the lyrics. That this works as well as it does is due equally to Swan Arcade's singing and Ray Davies' clever engaging lyrics.
