Loan Me a Dime is a blues song written by Fenton Robinson, an American blues singer and exponent of the Chicago blues guitar, in 1967. The recording by Boz Scaggs appears on his second, self-titled, album released in 1969. The Scaggs version, recorded at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio studio in Sheffield, Alabama, features Duane Allman (of the Allman Brothers Band) on guitar together with various members of the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio owners and session musicians better known as the The Swampers (including Barry Beckett on keyboards
