"Let Us Take The Time" IS the oldest song on the album. Ontario Emperor can't remember where he came up with the tune, but it's quite possible that he began writing it in Portland, Oregon in the 1980s. It was called "Those Who Dream By Day" at one point. Oh, and if you're wondering how a song with the title "Let Us Take The Time" made it onto an album called "Salad," just take a look at the alternate spelling of the song title: "Lettuce Take The Thyme."
