“Let It Go” is about young love that ultimately went wrong. After the couple’s tentatively cute time together, their relationship became forced and Bay ultimately suggests a breakup. Its release history is interesting, to say the least. First, it was released as the lead single from Bay’s debut album, Chaos And The Calm in September 2014. However, it achieved much more mainstream success when it was rereleased on May 12, 2015, reaching #10 on the UK singles charts and #16 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
