"Les Fleurs" was originally written by Richard Rudolph & Charles Stepney and featured on the1971 Minnie Riperton album "Come To My Garden". Rudolph incidentally was Riperton's husband. Although reasonably well received at the time, the popularity of "Les Fleurs" was not fully realised until relatively recently. Despite this fact, it has been covered by many artists from the 1970's through to 2001. Ramsey Lewis was the first to cover it, and it has been included on many of his compilation albums Indeed
