George and Ira Gershwin wrote this tune for their first successful Broadway musical in 1924, called “Lady Be Good.” The same year, the tune was recorded by Fred Astaire with George Gershwin on piano. We’re especially partial to the Ella Fitzgerald cover released in 1959.
