“LA LA” sees Ski Mask the Slump God tell his haters that he doesn’t care what they say, drowning them out by plugging his ears and repeating, “La-la-la-la” — an immature way of showing ignorance. The song samples the piano chords of his close friend XXXTENTACIONs December 2017 single, “#ProudCatOwner #IHateRappers #IEatPussy.” Months before Stokeley’s release, X was killed during a robbery-turned-shooting. The official music video pays tribute to X, as he saves Ski from death.
