"Kingdom" is the fourth song from the Devin Townsend album Physicist, released in 2000, and the seventh song from the Devin Townsend Project album Epicloud, released on September 21, 2012. On the topic of his decision to re-record "Kingdom", Townsend said, "We re-did 'Kingdom' because it's a live set staple, and so much better now than the Physicist recording." The re-recorded version's arrangement closely follows the original, but it lacks the ambient coda, with added harmony vocals provided by Anneke van Giersbergen.
