This song was written as a collaboration Pierce the Veil and Sleeping with Siren's singer, Kellin Quinn. Fans of both bands believed the singers had similar styles, and a song between them would be perfect, and so the pressure to collab, eventually drove them to make this song. They hadn't even met before making this song, but the two bands would go on couple tours together afterwards. Vic said to Revolver, “This song is about getting pushed past your breaking point.
