The song's melody comes from the "Jupiter" movement of Gustav Holst's 1918 orchestral suite "The Planets," arranged by Masayuki Sakamoto. It was Ayaka Hirahara's idea to sing Holst's tune, also known as "Thaxted," with Japanese lyrics. The lyrics were primarily written by Yumi Yoshimoto, with some lines by Ayaka Hirahara.
