“John Wayne” describes the singer’s attraction to rugged, cowboy-types that are the opposite of the city boys she usually encounters in Manhattan. Lady Gaga gave her debut performance of the song live at the 2016 Victoria Secret Fashion Show, sporting an all black ensemble and her own pair of custom wings. The song was performed as a medley with “A-YO.” The official video debuted on February 8th, 2017, exclusively on Apple Music.
