A tender opener to Older, George Michael's third album. Jesus to a Child was written by George for his lover Anselmo Feleppa who died of complications from AIDs in 1993. He was often referred to by George himself and others as the love of his life. Jesus to a Child was released in January 1996 as the first single from Older. It chart at #1 in Australia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom. It reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
