This reviewer met Josh White over 50 years ago, opening in a small club called the Budhi in Oklahoma City, OK, and learned Jelly, Jelly from him. His rendition of the venerable blues classic was fluid, personal, and always flawless. White was a great entertainer and a very nice guy, as much at home at Madison Square Garden as in a coffehouse or at a record store signing.
