"It's a Heartache" is a song by singer Bonnie Tyler for her second studio album, Natural Force (1978). Released as the album's second single on November 4, 1977, it was written by Ronnie Scott and Steve Wolfe, Bonnie's managers at the time, and produced by David Mackay. "It's a Heartache" was one of the first recordings Bonnie made following a surgical procedure to remove nodules from her vocal folds. The procedure left Bonnie with an "unusually husky voice", which AllMusic journalist Marcy Donelson described as "an effective instrument".
