John Farrell on 'In Passing': "The title track of this EP, “In Passing,” sets the tone for this set of songs as a whole. Just as the song rests in the middle of the record as a transitional song, the lyrics allude to a transitional point in life. I wrote that song as a reflection of a year from the passing summer going into the next one. What’s interesting is that while I was writing that song I realized I could probably write that song every year.
