"Imaginary Friends" is a progressive house song by deadmau5, featured on "W:/2016ALBUM/". The earliest iteration of the track was first uploaded to the suckscription service on January 30th, 2014, titled "71c". During a livestream, Zimmerman mentioned the need to keep analog synths at a precise temperature of 71 degrees Fahrenheit. However, he mistakenly said "71 degrees Celsius" during the stream, which ultimately inspired the track name. Compared to the final product, this version is more minimal.
