RCA Victor released this in the UK as a single for David Cassidy in 1975 where it became a hit worldwide (but wasn't available in the USA). The folks at RCA Victor didn't consider the record could be a hit in the USA. It was passed to Barry Manilow and became Manilow's theme song.
