This song was about a popular woman in the local community who was killed in her home by a stranger. She lived alone and might have been saved except her call for help was ignored by the first person who received it, though when her manager reviewed the log she sent the police. The familiar voice on the radio in the morning (in the lyrics) was one of the WMBR DJs. That same DJ played this song recently (2012?) & told the story after someone already in jail finally confessed to the murder. Sorry that I've forgotten the names.
