The song was written and co-produced by Klymaxx keyboardist Lynn Malsby. Released as the album's third single in November of 1985, "I Miss You" eventually reached #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, #11 on the R&B chart, and #3 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
