“I Miss You” is a song by Beyoncé, taken from her fourth studio album, 4 (2011). It was written by Frank Ocean. This song is the first official musical collaboration between Beyoncé and Frank Ocean, later to be succeeded by songs such as “Superpower” and “Pink + White”. This collaboration came to fruition after Jay Z played one of Frank’s CDs for Beyoncé during a car ride. She was so compelled by his music that she invited him to travel to New York and record with her the very next day.
