This song is about the superficial society of “friends” we coexist with. Instead of being organically, and emotionally connected with people, in this case, our friends, we tend to hang on to them by the most irrelevant and absurd motives, where we no longer care about genuine relationships. This is a sarcastic take on this idea, where Mark distances himself from this mob mentality.
