"I Knew the Bride (When She Used to Rock 'n' Roll)" is a song written by British musician Nick Lowe. It was first popularized by Welsh musician Dave Edmunds, featuring on his 1977 album "Get It". In 1978 a live version by Nick Lowe's Last Chicken in the Shop featured on the "Live Stiffs Live" album. In 1985 Nick Lowe recorded a slower studio version for the album "The Rose of England".
