“Hurting Kind” sees Jaffe lean into a more pop-centric sound, while still having the groundwork of the emotive blend of folk that first caught our attention so many years ago. The cinematic music video for the song is co-directed by him along with actor Charlie Plummer, with inspiration coming from the film, Paris, Texas.
