"Hurt" is a song by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails from the 1994 studio album "The Downward Spiral", where it appears as the closing track. It was written by Trent Reznor. The song was released on April 17, 1995, as a promotional single from the album and was sent directly to radio. In 1996, it received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Song. In 2020, it was ranked number two and number three, respectively, on lists of the greatest Nine Inch Nails songs published by Kerrang! and Billboard.
