If Island had established their reputation as unerring selectors of Jamaican talent, by the late '70s they were also fruitfully promoting British reggae. None better than Steel Pulse, Birmingham roots radicals whose Handsworth Revolution debut LP pleased reggae aficionados and switched-on punks alike.
