“Habitual” was previewed on a speculated tracklist along with several other tracks in the singer’s docu-series “Justin Bieber: Seasons”, which was officially released to YouTube on January 27, 2020. “Habitual” was first previewed in Justin Bieber’s YouTube series Seasons episode 3—the beat and song were originally for Poo Bear but later Bieber jumped on the track. Poo Bear’s voice is still left on the track in the intro/refrain and outro of the song.
