Green Door was the top record of 1956. It's a mix of 50's pop and 40's Dixieland. Alas, Green Door was Jim's only hit. Jim Lowe later gained fame as a NY disc jockey on WNEW AM in the 60's where he would hold late evening trivia contests about 40's and 50's music, produce mini-specs (spectaculars) based on some obscure theme and would often play, as he put it "...a medley of my hit." A piece of trivia: "Gambler's Guitar" was on the flip side of "Green Door."
