“Good Girls” is about the disappointment of drifting away from a girl whilst apart from her. The song was announced on February 25, 2017 along with news of LANY’s self-titled debut album through a video on Twitter. “Good Girls” was the second single, released on March 3, 2017. Starting March 23, 2017, the song was featured on a worldwide available Snapchat lense which brought more attention to it. It was not part of LANY’s promotion and their manager confirmed that they didn’t pay for the exposure.
