“Go To Town” is the opening track from Doja Cat’s debut studio album, Amala. It was released on March 9, 2018, as the album’s lead single. A music video was also released alongside the track. Doja Cat continued to promote the song by making an appearance on Genius' "Verified" show. She admitted in a May 2022 interview with Elle that she had regretted releasing the song since it was "really difficult to listen to" for her because she hadn't matured vocally, nor lyrically.
