The song peaked at number 7 on the New Zealand singles chart and has been certified gold. “Glitter” was premiered on Australian radio station triple j just hours before BENEE's debut EP was available on streaming services. In the announcement post for the premier, BENEE posted a snippet of the chorus to her various social media accounts.
