"From Hodu to Kush" is truly damaged dub. From the Artist's description on his website, it begins with a low-frequency rumble coming from a broken Moog synthesizer, adds a short wave radio and a conga drum played through a guitar's distortion pedal. Indian and African elements mix in and out of this agressive, pulsing jam to sonically illustrate the song's title, an ancient description of the borders of the Persian Empire under King Xerxes.
