“Friends” is an unreleased song by Playboi Carti, which was recorded sometime in 2019 and previewed with a snippet posted by an Instagram user on September 20, 2021. On August 8, 2022, footage of the scrapped documentary of Whole Lotta Red sessions surfaced including a snippet of this song. The song was also originally supposed to release on the early 2020 version of Whole Lotta Red before it was scrapped. On March 22, 2023, the song leaked online.
