Freak is the first single off of Victoria Monet’s third EP Life After Love, Pt. 1 In a interview with Hollywood Life,Victoria was asked if the song was inspired by anyone in particular and she replied back by saying: ”It was inspired by a breakup that I had. I was feeling really insecure about things that girls [tend to cite as reasons] for being broken up with — being cheated on, not getting enough attention, or whatever else went wrong."
