"Favourite Daughter" is a song by New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde, serving as the fifth track from her fourth studio album, Virgin (2025). The song is about Lorde's relationship with her mom, who serves as a "blueprint" for her. "But it’s also as much as it’s about my mom you, when I’m saying, ‘All the medals I won for you, breaking my back to be your favorite daughter,’ I have felt that I was also singing to an audience," says Lorde via a Zane Lowe interview.
